この素晴らしいアルバム、批評などを読むと意外にアンチがいたりするんですね。カートコバーン自身も不満を持っていたと聞いたことがあります。私が最初に聴いた彼らの作品は「ＩＮ　ＵＴＥＲＯ」で本当に度肝を抜かれました。それから遡って本作を聴いたのですが、確かにやられました。ただ、個人的には次作の方が好きです。聴いた順序にもよるのかな。

この世界的な大ヒットアルバムを「駄作」と言ってしまう輩がいる事自体、それこそが逆にこのアルバムを名盤たらしめる。好みの問題はあれど、どこから聴いても名盤。

基本的にマニア向き。一般的にはセールス的に成功したNevermindが、NIRVANAの最高傑作のように言われるが、実際カートコバーンはこのアルバムに大きな不満を抱えていた事もあり、当事者側から見た場合駄作。これからNIRVANAを知ろうとする人には、これを購入するよりは、アルバムを順に追って聞いていく方をおすすめ（Bleach⇒Incesticide⇒Never・・・）。特にこのNevermindは、アルバム最後にSecret Trackがあり、それを含めたアルバム構成を聞いてほしいので、それらカートコバーンの意図や、このアルバムの生まれた背景なども全部知った上で、ファンとして持っていたいと思うなら購入してもいいと思います。
