最初に聴いた印象は炭酸の抜けたコーラみた...

最初に聴いた印象は炭酸の抜けたコーラみたいなアルバムだな～レッチリも終わりかと思いました。しかし耳に馴染んでくると、特に目新しい要素は無いものの、佳曲が揃ったアルバムだということに気がつきました。ジョンがイニシアチブを握り出したレッチリの作品はどうも閉塞感があった（前作は音がつまっているようにも感じた）ので、これはこれで肩の力が抜けていい作品です。

個人的にはRHCPのここ何枚かのアルバムの中では、最高です。良い意味でJohn Fruscianteの強烈な色彩が抜けて、本来のRHCPの良さが表現できていると思います。

前作から約5年、通算10枚目となる最新アルバム。脱退したJohn Fruscianteに変わり、かねてから親交のあったJosh Klinghoffer が新ギタリストとして加入。 彼はJohnのソロ作品などにも度々参加している為か、違和感はない。音は大人しくなったのか、大人になったのか、地味な印象だが、曲が悪いわけではない。聴き込めば良さがわかるアルバム。 おすすめ・・・・・①②③⑤⑨⑩⑪⑫⑬
