Syd Barrett が残した未発表音源・アルバム収録曲の別テイク・デモ録音などをまとめ、1988年に HARVEST(EMI)がリリースした「Opel」です。初出時は、track 1-7 が Side one、track 8-14 が Side two で、track 15 以降は、1993年のCD化の際に加えられました。2,8,11,14,18,19は1968年（ただし、2,8への Overdubsは1969年）、1,4,12は1969年、3,5,6,7,9,10,13,15,16,17,18,20は1970年の録音です。ギターと歌だけの音源が多めで、カラフルさは乏しいものの、Syd Barrett の歌声が心地好く、（特に、初出時の1-14は、通して聴くことを意図して、音源を配列していると思われ）一つの作品集として、違和感無く、楽しむことができます。2及び18は、アルバム「The Madcap Laughs」に収録された「Octopus」（David Gilmourが録音に参加）の初期音源で、 Soft Machine（Mike Ratledge,Robert Wyatt,Hugh Hopper）が録音に参加しています。
