Recorded on the eve of Yellow Moon's release, this set showcases the joyous breadth and depth of the Neville Brothers music. from N'Orleans street funk (Fiyo on the Bayou) to soulful, spiritual balladry (Amazing Grace), from a '50s rock 'n' roll medley to a gorgeous Bob Marley cover, the Brothers put their unique stamp on a veritable musical smorgasbord. It's probably as close as we're ever going to get to an American music revue from the perspective of the one and only Big Easy.

商品説明には何を勘違いしてか、「The Neville Brothersがレコード･デビューを果たす前夜にSFで行ったコンサートを収録」という阿保なことが書いてあるが、言うまでもなく、名盤 Yellow Moonの時期のライブで、より正確にはアルバム発売直前の公演を収録している。ミキシングデスク直結という感じのラフ・ミックスで、歓声はうっすらと聞こえるくらいなので臨場感はあまりないが、演奏と歌が熱くかっこい。既発の公式ライヴ盤よりも遥かに素晴らしい。文句なしの五つ星。殆どのファンは既に所有していると思うが、必携タイトル。
