ソウルトレイン”はシカゴのラジオ/TV 局のパーソナリティ、ドン・コーネリアスがホストとなった音楽バラエティ番組。制作拠点をLA に移して人気が急上昇した。本作にはソウル黄金時代の70 年代に放送されたものから選りすぐりパフォーマンスを収録。スタジオに集まった若者たちのファッションやダンスにも注目したい。3 枚組みのDVD にはソウル黄金時代の70 年代の放送分から50 曲を収録。1DVD にはThe Isley Brothers やBarry White、Aretha Franklin、Marvin Gaye、Earth, Wind & Fire らのパフォーマンス映像が収録されているほか、ボーナスフィーチャーとして、司会のドン・コーネリアス、スモーキー・ロビンソン、ジョディ・ワトリーのインタビューが1 時間にわたって収録されている。（メーカー資料より）
