Digitally remastered and expanded deluxe three disc (two CDs + NTSC/Region 0 DVD) edition of their 2001 debut album featuring a bonus CD containing additional studio and live records plus a bonus DVD that includes videos, home movies and exclusive live footage. Asleep In The Back is home to many timeless tracks which remain firm fan favorites and make up a good proportion of their live shows now, including the singles 'Powder Blue', 'Red', 'Newborn' and the epic 'Scattered Black And Whites'. The album was nominated for that year's Mercury Music Prize, which they would go on to win in 2008 for Seldom Seen Kid. Universal. 2009.

すさまじく微妙にイイ。声の限り叫び続けるわけでもなく、高尚な詞を高圧的に羅列してくるわけでもなく、ただ一歩ひいたところから静かに自分の晴れてゆく気持ちを述べている、そうしたアルバム。破格の出来なのは、実は最後の⑫だったりする。ラストに向かっていく盛り上がり方がグッジョブ。

すごい存在感出してます。elbowのためにサマソニ行きます！！過言じゃないです！！文句無く１０点。聴く限りセカンドアルバムは更に良くなりそう。次作はバカ売れするんちゃうか！！
