　おじさん、昔のばっかり聴いてないで最近のジャズも聴いてみろよ！　って、言われたわけではないけれど、巷で話題のグラスパーを聴いてみました。前半が思っていたよりもオーソドックスなピアノトリオでやや拍子抜けしましたが、後半はハンコックの『ROCK IT』みたいのを想像していたこともあって、いい意味で裏切られました！　でも、次の『BLACK RADIO』にまで手を出すには勇気がいるなぁ......。

『jazzが新たな進化を遂げた』と感じさせる、素晴らしいアルバムだと思います。今に至るjazzの表現を継承しながらも、独自のサウンドに衝撃を受けました。ドラムのChris daveの演奏も最高で、Glasperとの相性は抜群です。2部構成ですが、アプローチの仕方が違うだけで個性は一貫しており、どちらも同じぐらい魅力があります。

後半部のexperimentではおもしろいことして...

後半部のexperimentではおもしろいことしてるんですが…。 正直、前半のtrioは普通。前作のin my elementが良かっただけに、期待しすぎたかな。
