NHKのハイビジョン特集を観て興味を持ったので購入。映像を観ても音楽を聴いても、みんな楽しそうだし仲よさそう。 マスターピースという感じではないけれど、いい作品です。 ジャケ見るとリボルバーに雰囲気が似てますが、どちらも彼の作。 ベース持ってあっち向いているのが当人でしょうが、Klaus Voormannのフルネームも記さないあたり、謙虚なお人柄が表れてます。 「伝説の」としばしば冠されるベーシスト兼画家で、ジョン・レノンがエリック・クラプトンやオノ・ヨーコと一緒に、これまた「伝説の」ぶっつけ本番ライブをやったときベース弾いてた人。

ベテランベーシストであるVoormanが懇意なベテランアーティストの元を訪ね歩くといった風のユニークなコンセプトに基づいたアルバムだが、決してまとまりに欠ける印象はなく、腕達者たちが肩肘を張らずにプレイしているのが伝わってくる作品で、リラックスして聴くことができる佳作。
