内容に申し分ないが、ジャケットのCharlie Parker ＆ Dizzy Gillespieの表示に問題があると思う。聴いてから数曲目にパーカーの音が聞こえなくなった。クレジットをみたら、パーカーが参加しているのは最初の数曲だけではないか！好きなガレスピーにケチをつけたくないが、パーカーの音に飢えてこのCDを買ったので、星3つ。

もはや文句のつけようがない絶頂期のパーカーとガレスピーを捉えた名盤中の名盤。演奏そのものはマッセイホールのしまらない演奏なんかとは比べ物にならない、熱い演奏だ。特に「コンファメイション」のスイング感はたまらない。前半はパーカーを含むクインテット演奏、後半はガレスピーのバンドによる演奏が収録されている。
