『宮殿』と並ぶ1969年というプログレ時代の夜明けを強烈に予感させる作品。ジャケットに表現された黎明、混沌がそのまま音楽となり原始的なレアな肌触りのプログレッシヴロックといった趣。もちろん歴史的重要性だけでなく決してポップではないが聴きやすく美しさ、気品に溢れ聴き応えも感じさせる。ロック云々でなく音楽としての良さがある。
