オリジナル発売の間もない頃、マリアが全裸...

オリジナル発売の間もない頃、マリアが全裸でプールに飛び込む、プロモーションフィルムのバックに「真夜中のオアシス」が使われていましたね、確か。それから３０数年、鮮度は落ちず、エヴァーグリーンとなりましたね。ところで当時のフィルムなんかも発掘〜発売されると嬉しいなぁ〜。現在もカワイイ女性ですが、当時はもっとエキゾチックでしたよね。

Midnight At The Oasis のギターソロを聞いたときどうやって弾いているのか最初不思議でした。 エイモス・ギャレットのセンスが光ります。 スティービーワンダーが世界で２番目に美しいギターソロと評したプレイ。 ギター評になっていますが、全体を通して歴史的名盤です。

歴史的名盤。マリア・マルダーの作品というよりも当時の音楽シーンの豪華な布陣により作られたアルバムの印象が強い。音はアメリカン・カントリー色が強い内容。楽曲の質が高いので、この手のサウンド、もしくはアルバム自体が古くて手が出ない方は背中を押します（笑）。是非聴いてみて下さい。
