90年代後半にモンド〜ラウンジ的なるもののキーワードとなる『スペース・エイジ〜』（宇宙時代の独身者愛好音楽）をタイトルにいち早く冠したステレオラブのセカンド・アルバム（1993年発表）。前作でのリズム隊、マーティン・キーンとジョー・ディルワースが脱退し、ダンカン・ブラウン、アンディ・ラムゼイ、もう一人の女性ヴォーカリスト、メアリー・ハンセンが加入。また現ハイ・ラマズのショーン・オヘイガンもサブ的な立ち位置で参加している。ムーグやオルガンといった楽器を導入し、実験精神に反しないステレオラブ流ポップがここで早くも確立している。
