結成時のアンダーワールドはインダストリアル・ファンクなどと銘打っていたが、FRUERが変名したバンドだという認識が強かった。サウンド面においても基本的にはFRUERの頃と大した変化は無く、イギリスのニュー・ウェイヴやエレクトロ・ポップを継承したもので、その頃にしては特に目立ったものではなかった。メジャー・レコード会社SIREと契約し、リリースしたのが今アルバム。

この時代では仕方ないでしょうね。 このときは結構自分たちの音楽性とか、立場など考えていたと言ってたし。でも、個人的にはこの時代の音楽も好きなんで、このアルバムも好きですよ〜♪ まだまだ若いテクノファンにゃ〜お勧めできまへんね！

俺がまずこれを聴いて思った感想は、underworldが歌モノで歌ってることに驚いた。なにせHundred Days Offから聴いたもんだから、歌わないと思っていたのでビックリしてしまったのである。しかも全てが歌モノというアルバム。あまり信じられない。曲としては前半のものよりも後半の方が、俺としては好みだ。また、最初を聴くとこれはダンスミュージックなのかと耳を疑ったが、まぎれもなくダンスミュージックだ。ただし、前半のほうは違うと思うが。しかもノリがいいので文句がつけられない。というわけでこれらを総合して、さらに２ｎｄアルバムへの
