バーズを去ったグラム・パーソンズとクリス・ヒルマンが作ったグループ。バーズの「ロデオの恋人」とともにカントリーロックのまさに金字塔だ。DARK END OF THE STREETでのグラムのヴォーカルはなんともいえず哀愁をおびてすばらしい｡
