Who I Am

Having been there or thereabouts for sometime now, Beverley Knight has never fully received the commercial approval that she so justly deserves. Whilst her creative skills have never been in doubt and her vocal abilities are almost without equal in the UK, Beverley's mainstream success has been in the shade as often as it has enjoyed limelight. 'Who I Am', however, should redress the balance as the vibe here is pitched very much down the centre, with Beverley's innate sense of soul music bringing a rich depth to the album's pop sensibilities. The 'Shoulda Woulda Coulda' single features as does a sweet duet with Musiq Soulchild, 'Beautiful Contradiction' produced by James Poyser. All songs are co-written by Beverley and further production comes from Green Eyed Bandits, D-Influence and Che Guevara.
