こちらは、さらに追加で収録された13曲のレア音源集の他、世界中でリリースされたシングルのアートワークを集めた150ページにもおよぶブックレット（詳細な曲目解説を含め、72ページ分のフォトやエッセイも収録）が付いた初回限定3枚組デラックス盤。ディランのオフィシャル・サイトから無料ダウンロード配信中の未発表曲「Dreamin' Of You」（1997年録音）も収録予定。

日本盤を買ったあと、興味があって中古でお安く輸入盤のみの限定仕様も買いましたが、冷静に見てもこちらは収集マニア向き。限定版はそういったコアなマニア狙いの価格設定なのでDisc3のおまけ内容を考えても身近にDYLANの音楽と接するという観点ではあまりに高すぎます。限定とはいえ当然在庫も余ってて、まだ普通に流通してますしね。阿漕な商法に惑わされず、背伸びせずにディランと向き合いたいならちゃんと日本語対訳のついた2cd国内盤がおすすめですよ。

「The Bootleg Series」を文字通りに捉えれば「３ＣＤｓのご立派」な箱物も販売戦略としては面白いとは思います。が、未だに在庫流通している現実は、ファンが賢いからでしょう。この箱でしか聴けない３枚目の音源は、ファンならば手に置きたいものです。しかしですよ、２ＣＤｓとの価格差は予測以上でした（私は2万円で購入）でもファンとしては３枚目の音も聴いてみたいのです。「The Bootleg Series」もVol.8まで続きましたが、今後も今回同様の戦略が続くならば「Bootleg」で西新宿に流通しだしたら、安価で購入しよ〜っと。
