Content Description

超高度ネットワーク社会の中で、より複雑・凶悪化していく犯罪に対抗するために政府は、隊長・草薙素子少佐を始めとする精鋭サイボーグによる非公認の超法規特殊部隊を結成。公安９課・通称「攻殻機動隊」の誕生である。

ある日某国情報筋から攻殻機動隊に警告が発せられる。ＥＵ圏を中心に出没し、株価操作・情報操作・政治工作・テロなどで国際手配中の通称“人形使い”が日本に現れるという。素子は犯罪の中に見え隠れする“人形使い”の影を追う。
