シカゴよりNYなのかな？と僕は感じた。ディープ・ハウスはジャンルじゃなく状況です、と告げるテーリの口調には「これはむしろギャグ」というシニカルな照れ隠しの裏に潜むトランスジェンダー、越境する者、「境界」を常に意識せざるをえなかった者だからこそ持ってしまった純度の高い切実さが滲むようで。本人の意図は裏切るかもしれないけど、このグラマラスさもロマンチックさもセクシーさも、全てを素直に受け入れたい。
