素晴らしい！その一言に尽きる。ジャケットは先日殺害されたウサマ・ビンラーディンのようだが、ようやく「こういうアルバムを最も作るべき人達が作った」という感じである。コンセプトアルバムという性質上100分というランニング・タイムは確かに長いが、メタル・オペラ呼ぶに相応しい内容だ。前作の「Angel Of Retribution」の最終曲”Lochness”あたりにも今作に通ずるものがあったが、それが見事に完成形となったのが本作である。コンセプトアルバムということでとっつきにくい印象を与えるが、一曲単位で聞いても違和感なく受け入れられるのも彼らならではである。もちろん、「Painkiller」のような激しさは皆無だが、この次もまたすごいアルバムを作ってくれるんだろう！

JudasPriestのスタジオアルバムは、１０枚ほど持っていますが、このアルバムは結局、１回聴いただけで手放してしまいました。各曲の完成度は高いものの、いかんせん長編すぎます。しかも、スローテンポな曲も多く、全編通して聴くのはとても疲れてしまいます。

プリースト初のコンセプトアルバム、そしてこのボリューム。年をとっても、音楽に対する情熱を失わない彼らに敬礼！内容は・・・通して聴くと少々耳が離れていってしまうのだが。でも力作です。
