06年12月25日に亡くなったJames Brownのバックで演奏していた最強のプレーヤー集団、JB’s。本作は現在ソロとして活動しているトロンボーンのFred WesleyとベースのBootsy Collinsら、70年代に活躍したオリジナルJB'snメンバーが創るJB追悼ばん。参加予定だったBobby Birdが07年に亡くなり、本作をBobbyに捧げたいというアーティストたちの意向をふまえ、ファンク音楽へのトリビュートというコンセプトが掲げられました。
