英語よくわからないけど、Take Me To The Pilotは「パイロットにつれていって」ではないだろうというのはわかる。そんな日本語ないでしょう。 ということを昔から思っていた。

華麗なエンターテイナーに変身する前の、瑞々しい感性が光り輝く大傑作です。ジャケと音楽から、その後を予想することは出来ませんでした。 Sixty Years Onは最初に発売された時から、60才のころ　と訳されていますが、これから60年後ですから、22才頃のエルトンが後期高齢者になったころをイメージした歌ですね。 今時の60才は、普通元気です。

エルトン・ジョン初期の傑作。飛ぶ取り落とす勢いの1972〜76年の作品と比べると多少大げさな構えを感じるが、楽曲の持つ深みは素晴らしい。打ち込み中心で手軽に作られる音楽があまりに多いこの時代、それらとはかなり離れた位置にあるこれらの作品は、だからこそもう少し評価されて欲しいと思います。
