Product Description

Here's another paper-sleeved reissue from the reunited RATM. On their third album 'The Battle Of Los Angeles' the band sound more metallic than on the preceding two titles, maybe less intense but with more "singing" vocals and heavier riffs in the choruses, which might hint at what comes about later with Audioslave (without Zach, that is). The songs are more concisely structured than ever, which may well contribute to making this album a friendlier listen somewhat than the other two albums. Still it doesn't mean the band have toned down at all; their energetic and bouncing grooves are augmented, very much so to the point of making the whole music well danceable sometimes. All in all, The Battle Of Los Angeles indeed embodies the band's musical peak.

凄まじい音圧を持って、けたたましく鳴り響く反体制のﾒｯｾｰｼﾞが、闘争心を煽って止まない。ﾛｯｸの歴史上、最も屈強たる闘争ﾊﾞﾝﾄﾞ、それが証明された一枚だと思う。

'99年発表｡国歌も思うように歌えない日本ではこんなﾊﾞﾝﾄﾞが生まれることなど夢の夢だろう｡星条旗を逆さまにしてｱﾝﾌﾟに貼りつけ､ｱﾒﾘｶの体制をｺﾃﾝﾊﾟﾝに批判し､世界に横行する不公正と暴虐にｷﾊﾞをむく｡｢心ない体制への怒り｣というﾊﾞﾝﾄﾞ名を掲げる筋金入りの闘士たちである｡ﾛｯｸはもともと反体制の音楽だとはいえ､ここまで透徹した怒れる若者たちを自分は知らない｡しかし､実のところかつての彼らにはあまりの激しさゆえに近寄り難いというか､｢今疲れてるから後にしてくれない?｣と言いたくなるようなところがあった｡鋼の硬質さを持つｻｳﾝﾄﾞと一瞬もたゆまぬﾃﾝｼｮﾝにﾍｷｴｷさせられることもしばしばだった｡が､この3年ぶりの3枚目のｱﾙﾊﾞﾑでは､燃える怒りと舌鋒の鋭さに磨きをか

RATMの中で一番いい。キャッチーな曲もあるので、初めて聴く人にもいい。ホント、何度聴いてもキレ味鋭い珠玉の一枚。
