まず驚きました、年月が経てもイーグルスサウンドは健在、長いブランクがあったにせよ、これ程までに完成度の高い二枚組を送り届けてくれるとは、感激です。「ホテルカリフォルニア」を凌ぐ最高傑作と評価します。愛聴盤の仲間入り、ドライブにも良く合います。いつまでも変わらず、これからもイーグルスサウンドを贈り届けて欲しい。

ふとラジオから流れてきた曲が、なんだか切ないメロや声が耳に残るなぁ、素敵な曲だなぁと思って調べたら、イーグルスの「夏の約束」でした。優しいヴォーカルに、とても心が癒されます☆ハーモニーがとても綺麗☆キャリアが長いってのもあるせいか、聴いていても、とても安心感があります。でも一つよくを言わせていただくと、メロウなギターの音が、少しだけ物足りない気がしました。あくまで自分の好みの問題なので、すみません‥あと「もう聞きたくない」と言う曲も、結構ラジオで流れてて、イイ曲だなぁって思ったんですけど、このアルバムに入ってるバージョンではなくて、ヴォーカル違いのバージョンの方が、結構ラジオではよくかかってましたけど、よく詳しいことはわからないのですが、どちらのバージョンのも好きです。

　77年の奇跡のアルバムから30年、円熟した西部の男たちは、またしても至福の作品集を届けてくれた…、っていう感じでしょうか。オープニングのコーラス＆ハーモニーからやられてしました。捨て曲なしの充実した22曲は、ＣＤ２枚組というボリュームでも最後まで一気に聴かせてくれます。21世紀のカリフォルニアは不毛の地と化してしまったのでしょうか？ 　それにしても、ＳＨＭ仕様で3,000円とは、どうゆうことでしょう。思わずオーダーしてしまうじゃないですか！　4,800円も出して特殊パッケージ版を買ったというのに!!
