Product Description

2007 compilation from the British band who were at the forefront of the 'shoe-gazing' scene that swept the UK during the early '90s. The 'shoe-gazing' scene (also known as 'the scene that celebrates itself') appeared just as the 'Madchester' and 'baggy' scenes were morphing into Techno and music fans were longing for real guitars again. Chapterhouse, like other bands from the scene including Ride and Lush, were able to turn their guitars up to near-deafening levels yet still create music that was beautiful, atmospheric and haunting. 15 tracks including 'We Are the Beautiful', 'Pearl', 'Falling Down' and others. 残念ながら「Die Die Die」は未収録ですね…。 おそらくChapterhouse史上、５本の指に入るであろう超名曲「Precious One」や「Summer Chill」も除外だなんて。マニアからすると選曲、構成ともにイマイチ。 　し　か　し、お値段も安いですし、 2nd未聴で「もっと他の曲が聴いてみたい！」といった向きにはいいかも。超ダンサブルな「She’s A Vision」を聴いてみて下さい。2ndは1st 以上に痺れます！ますます欲しくなる事必須！意外と中古レコ屋とかで眠ってるかも？？？
