「ゴールド」を２００２年に買い、それ以来...

「ゴールド」を２００２年に買い、それ以来ずっと好きなアーティスト。一年に三枚アルバムを出したりしていた頃より、この一枚。あの頃の作品に比べ曲の幅がぐっと広まり、濃縮され更に濾過した感の、バラのようにきれいにきれいにドキドキさせてくれる（ドキドキしないロックは、ロックンロールではないと思っている）ずっと大切にしたい一枚のレコード。この作品と次作は、本当に素晴らしいマスターピースだ。ともに長々とせず、短時間であることも、無駄に長いんじゃないかと思わせるアルバムが多い現代、稀な傑作である。

風が語りかける様なヴォーカルが素晴らしいですね。作風は去年の３枚とほぼ同じですが、この人はこれでいいと思います。フジの一件で来日しにくくなってるようですが、私は恨んでないので、また来てください。それと、Whiskey Townの邦盤再発もお願いします。

前から思ってましたが、彼はグラムパーソンズの現代版。 天才の域です。 どのアルバムも素晴らしい楽曲ぞろいですが、今回は「一枚のアルバム」としては非常にまとまった感じがします。 奇麗なメロディに浸ってると一枚全曲があっと言う間。 大容量のCD時代に、これだけの楽曲を飽きさせないで作る彼はほんとに素晴らしい！！
