ドイツ・ロマン派の大作を集めたプログラム。ヴェデルニコフらしい構造のしっかりとした骨太の演奏は、本場ドイツ・オーストリアの演奏家たちよりももっと「ドイツ的」かもしれない。細やかなニュアンスと大胆なタッチが共存する素晴らしく音楽的な演奏で、思わず息をのむほど美しい。

シューマンの交響的練習曲が好きでこれまでいろいろ聴いてきましたが、ヴェデルニコフの演奏（特に１曲目の出だし）の何と素晴らしいことか。この演奏を聴くと彼の精神の落ち着き、深い思い、謙虚さ、そして音楽家、もっと言えば人間としての誠実さを感じます。

シューマンの「交響的練習曲」目的で購入。 この曲が好きだが　自分にとってこれといった演奏に中々出会えず たまたま　ヴェデルニコフ好きの方に本ｃｄを紹介してもらい 購入した。 なんといったらいいのだろう 柔らかすぎず、情熱的過ぎず「格調の高い」「香りが高い」 荒っぽさや雑さとは無縁のとても安定した演奏だ。 だからといって丁寧で退屈してしまうものではない。 内に秘める情熱が底からググっと伝わる硬派さ。 シューマンの演奏は、個人的ナ好みで左右されるので一概に言えないが 彼の暗い部分と夢見がちな部分、熱狂的ナ部分を コントロールした絶妙な演奏といったらいいのか 私の好きなリヒテルとどこか通じずるモノがあるのか？と思いきや 彼らは交友もあり、何となく背景も似ている（肉親の悲劇） 同曲のｃｄは　他の演奏家で数枚持っているが 最もお気に入り　いや私にとってダントツお気に入りの１枚だ

I think this interpretation of Schumann ...

I think this interpretation of Schumann is second only to Gilels’. Paganini-Variations are the best I have ever heard, apart from Gilels’ and Richter’s, which remain, on my point of view, slightly superior. I don’t know Schubert fantasie, so I can’t say nothing about. Anatoly Vedernikov is surely a giant of the keyboard： now I understand why I was unable to understand which part Richter played in their celebrated and exceptional recording of Bach C major concerto!
