Product Description

Tenacious D's Jack Black continues his one-man crusade in the name of metal, with a Richard Linklater-directed-movie that sees Black fired from his band, and forced to teach as a substitute teacher at an uptight private school. Cue a hard-rocking version of Dead Poets Society, with all the guitars turned up to 11. The soundtrack embraces the ethos of loud music and good times, with old-timers like The Who, The Doors and T.Rex mixing with the latest rock-excess royals, The Darkness, here contributing the fabulous Growing On Me. Led Zeppelin, unusually, lends a track to a soundtrack album - here it's the sublime Immigrant Song - and there's noise aplenty from The Ramones, with My Brain Is Hanging Upside Down. And can any rock song get more epochal than Cream's Sunshine Of Your Love? Maybe, but it's on here, anyway. Black himself contributes two tunes, both coming under the guise of School Of Rock. But no Tenacious D numbers? Shame, we'll have to wait for the upcoming movie for that. Still, this totally rocks, dude. School's in for summer.

ROCK史に残る名曲と絶妙の選曲で映画を観た人にもまたまずはCDからという人にもどちらも楽しめる内容です。映画で先生と生徒が結成したバンドの曲もセリフも入ってます。THE WHO、LED ZEPPELIN、DOORS、CREAM、DARKNESSなどROCKファン必聴

よく1枚にこれだけの曲が入ってますよね。 映画見て、懐かしさのあまり購入しました。スティービー・ニックスがちょっと浮いてます? が、映画見た人なら爆笑でしょう。
