‘The Will To Death' is Red Hot Chili Pepper's guitarist John Frusciante's fifth solo record and second in the space of a few months. Another mix of magnificent fretwork, warped vocals and quirky structures, ‘Will To Death' marks Frusciante out as a true musical maverick. His creativity is at such a peak at the moment that he plans to release several more albums before the year is out including new albums from his other band Ataxia featuring Joe Lally of Fugazi and long time collaborator Josh Klinghoffer.

発売当時の事を思い出すと 前作「shadows〜」の興奮冷めやらぬ前に発売され非常に弱く感じました。 しかししかし、聞き込むほどになんて味のある楽曲達でしょうか。 僕はバカでした。 今ではすっかりお気に入りの一枚です

'04年発表｡4ヵ月前に4作目のｿﾛ･ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑを発表したばかりの現ﾚｯﾁﾘ･ｷﾞﾀﾘｽﾄ｡矢継ぎ早に出た本作は､6ヵ月連続ﾘﾘｰｽという計画の第1弾｡今回もﾊﾞﾝﾄﾞ志向の音になっており､ﾊﾞｲｼｸﾙ･ｼｰﾌのｼﾞｮｼｭとの完全共同制作｡｢ﾌﾞﾗｳﾝ･ﾊﾞﾆｰ｣ｻﾝﾄﾗとはまったく違うたそがれ具合が堪能できる｡

コレ聞いてて気付きました。チリペッパーズよりむしろジョンフルの方が好きなのかもしれない。 リバーブとかうまいこと組み合わせてるよね。 歌唱力も（特に高音部）あるし、レベル高いとおもいます。 最初の三枚買ったのですが来月また次の三枚買おうと思います(^_^)v
