Product Description

The Crossroads Concert DVD was filmed on June 7th 2004 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. This one-time event, created for music enthusiasts around the globe, raised money for the Crossroads Centre, The International Non-Profit Facility for Recovery from Alcoholism and Other Drug Dependencies set up by Eric Clapton in 1997.

The DVD features Eric Clapton playing with guest guitarists including Carlos Santana, Pat Metheny, ZZ Top, JJ Cale and Jeff Beck. All the profits from the concert went to the Crossroads Centre in Antigua.

Crossoaodギターフェスの1作目。 メインのECからロック、ブルーズ、ジャズ、カントリー、インド、ラテンなどなどジャンルを問わず、かき鳴らします！！ Santana vs. ECはスタイルが違いすぎて、とても面白いです。 1曲単位のアーティストは昼間の部に多く、そのあたりはフェス感があってこれはこれで良いですよ〜。 あと、JJ Caleと演ってる時のECの表情がなんともいいですね〜。 ステージングの面白さではSteveVai !! ギター３本＋ベースで並んでの早弾きショウはHR出身者ならではのプレイで見ても楽しい。 締めはZZ Top ! 動くヒゲコンビを見たのは超久しぶりでこれも楽し−−。 というわけで、見る前はTotal 218 minutesに、「う〜ん、長いなぁ。。」と思っていましたが、見始めるとあっという間。 ジャンルを問わないギタープレイは、新たな発見が多いですぞ！！

ギター・ブルースが中心の構成に成っています。アメリカ黒人とジャズに始まりブルースに細胞分裂しイギリス・ギタリストが世界に広めたと思います。その素晴らしさが凝縮した最高のステージに成っています。このDVDで知ったギタリストも居ます。新しい発見もあり2枚組みですが、短く感じました。皆それぞれで緊張とリラックス合い混じったプレイに私は購入して良かったと思います。ギター或いはブルースが好きなら楽しめると思いますよ。
