21世紀に入りＤＵＢというテクニックが数多...

21世紀に入りＤＵＢというテクニックが数多くのジャンルに使われ、それぞれが新しい地平を拓こうとしているのに対し、このRoots Tonicは名前の通りかなりRoots寄りな音を出しています。全曲を通じベースがまずありきで、その太い音軸の周囲にオカズや飾りとなる音を散りばめるといった手法が取られています。ビルラズウェルは当たり外れが大きく、買うときに少し躊躇しましたが、70年代のＤＵＢが好きな人にも十分オススメな盤です。
