イギリス/マンチェスター出身のイアン・ブラウン、ジョン・スクワイア、レニ、マニの4人からなるザ・ストーン・ローゼス。マンチェスター・ムーヴメントの中心であり、後のUKシーンに登場する、オアシス、ブラー、カサビアンなどに大きな影響を与えた。今作は、伝説の1stアルバム『ザ・ストーン・ローゼズ』を名うてのリミキサーたちが手掛け、2000年にリリースされたリミックス集『The Remixes』(アナログ盤)。ポール・オークンフォールド、ユタ・セインツ、808ステイト、グルーヴライダーズ、ジョン・カーター等、UKクラブ/テクノ・シーンのリミキサー陣により、マンチェスター・シーンで、最も輝きを放っていたザ・ストーン・ローゼズの名曲に、更に磨きをかけている。

生粋のﾛｰｾﾞｽﾞﾌｧﾝの人は聴くのは嫌かも知れないが、俺はこれも良いと思う。オリジナルの良さを再確認するという意味でも。個人的には5と12がベストトラック。
