本名作は10th、20thとアニバーサリー盤が出ていますが、四の五の言わずに必聴ですね。未発表・リミックスがどーのこーのは関係ない。とは言うものの、30th、40thがどの様に企画されてくるのかが、楽しみですね。

ラップクラシックの名盤中の 名盤！ 発売当時はパッとしなかったこのアルバムは、チャートも評価も微妙だったりした。いまや神格化したアルバムとなり、Nasは以降苦しみながらアルバムを毎回発売し本作と比べられ苦悶するのだった。 いまから思えば次の2ndアルバムの音が余りにも軽すぎたのが、Nasが十字架を背負った原因だろう。 発売から10年目に発売されたアニバーサリーCDだが、いまだにNasは本作を超えるアルバムを作れていないのが痛たまれない・・・ ちなみにこのアルバムはもっとも評価されなかった名盤１位にも輝いている。
