『スパイダーマン2』公開20周年を記念し、2004年に発売した『Spider-Man 2 (Original Motion Picture Score)』を初アナログ盤化。ジャケットはツヤ出しソフトタッチジャケット仕様で、映画のクレジット及び写真を封入。 サム・ライミが監督を務め、トビー・マグワイア、キルスティン・ダンスト、ジェームズ・フランコ、アルフレッド・モリーナが出演した『スパイダーマン』3部作の第2弾。ピート・アンソニーが指揮し、ハリウッド・スタジオ・シンフォニー・オーケストラが演奏、ダニー・エルフマンが作曲した楽曲を収録。ダニー・エルフマンはアメリカのニュー・ウェイヴ・バンド、オインゴ・ボインゴの元リーダー。30年間で4回ものオスカーにノミネートされた経歴を持ち、『チャーリーとチョコレート工場』『ミッション・インポッシブル』等、多くのヒット作品のサウンドトラックを手掛けている。
