本当にひとりだけの「ソロ・プロジェクト」として、エンジニア達と数ヶ月にわたり仕掛けた「新時代のオーケストリオン」※。 ※オーケストリオン(Orchestrion) とは「19世紀末から20世紀初頭に実在した、オーケストラの複数の楽器を同時に演奏させることができる大掛かりな機械のこと（wmg.jpのサイトから転載）」だそうです。 なんならヒトをかけてプレイしたらと買った当時は思いましたが、後にスタジオライブ「The Orchestrion Project 」の映像みてびっくり。 たくさんの楽器に囲まれてひとりギター弾くパットメセニー。 このアルバムは全5曲、やや落ち着いたムードの中ギターを弾きまくっているパットメセニーを想像したアルバム。
