バーニー・ケッセル（Barney Kessel 1923年10月17日〜2004年5月6日）はアメリカ合衆国オクラホマ州生まれのジャズ・ギタリスト、作曲家。アルバムは1958年の録音でベースのレイ・ブラウン、ドラムのシェリー・マンのポールウィナーズシリーズの２作目となる。より洗練された三人の絶妙なインタープレイが誠に素晴しい。ポールウィナーズシリーズは１年で１枚のペースで４枚出された。「The Poll Winners」の由来は1956年のアメリカ雑誌「プレイボーイ」「ダウンビート」「メトロノーム」の楽器別ジャズ人気投票で３人が１位になったためである。マスター級の珠玉の音を存分に堪能できる。
