2005年に発表された、クロウの５枚目の作品になります。 前作「C’mon, C’mon」は元気印のロック作品でしたが、今回は全く 異なり、ほとんどミディアム〜スローテンポの曲がしめています。 私はあまりラブバラードは好きではないのですが、この作品は違いました。 切なく、そしてエモーショナルです。 まず１曲目「I Know Why」から３曲目「Good Is Good」の流れが 見事です。ぐっと盛り上げるストリングスとさりげないコーラスを バックに、クロウが切々と歌い上げます。クロウのボーカルは 聞き手の心をかきむしるかのようです。 アルバム全体を通して、エレキ系楽器が過剰に盛り上げる演出が ありません。アコースティック楽器を中心にあくまでもクロウのボーカルと 曲を静かに支えています。これに、時おり入るスライドギターが美しい メロディを奏でています。 ６曲目「Lifetimes」からは以前のポップな感じが入ってきます。 特に８曲目「Live It Up」は唯一と言っていいアップテンポのロック 曲で、クロウのリズミカルなボーカルとともにアルバムを引き締める アクセントを担っています。 この後は再びスローな曲が続きます。アルバム全体が美しいグラデーションを 持っているかのようです。

このAlbum当たりからサウンドに勢いとゆうか、元気なくなってきますねぇ。残念です。個人的には「Perfect Lie」や「Good Is Good」「I Don’t Wanna Know」などが好みです。彼女も歳には勝てず、サウンドに落ち着きが出てきているんですかねぇ。デビュー自体遅かったので仕方がないのですかねぇ。
