Boards of Canada is one of my favorite musical groups. Their sound touches upon something very free at my core. I find their music to be something apart from the collective world, but also to be something true within the individual. I picked up the Japanese version because I couldn’t have this album without Macquarie Ridge, though the regular tracks are very good as well. If you like this album, I highly recommend Trans Canada Highway and Hi Scores, but you can’t go wrong with anything they’ve done.

今音楽は様々なｼﾞｬﾝﾙに分けられ、細分化していますが、ﾎﾞｰｽﾞの音楽をどこかに当てはめる必要はまったく無いと思う。とても肯定的で穏やかでありながら、力強いビートが自分を前進させてくるすばらしい音楽です。多くの人が自意識を孕みつつ生きる”現代”を正確に切り取りながら未来への橋渡しになる、そんな音楽だと思います。
