当時のＨＭ/ＨＲブーム真っ只中にビルボー...

当時のＨＭ/ＨＲブーム真っ只中にビルボード全米アルバムチャートで１位になった時は驚いたなぁ・・・。本作は決してキャッチャーではないし、ただ単に素朴すぎるだけのアコースティックアルバムだから。同時にシングルのＦａｓｔＣａｒも全米５位のヒットに。当時、高校１年だったけど、そのシングルＣＤを購入した思い出がある。とても切ない歌詞と曲調がＶｅｒｙＶｅｒｙＧＯＯＤ！。確かアルバムチャートでは１週間のみの全米ナンバー１だった記憶があるけど、当時は全米で３００万枚突破してた。でもこのアルバムは決して日本人ウケするアルバムではないかなぁ・・・。ちなみにシングルのＦａｓｔＣａｒにはシングルヴァージョンが存在する。個人的に今現在もその国内８センチシングル盤を大事に所裕してますよ。
