座頭市ｼﾘｰｽﾞの音楽は伊福部昭､池野成､冨田勲といった歴代の作曲家がｽｺｱを提供してきた｡北野武監督の座頭市は鈴木慶一が音楽を担当｡映画全体の音楽と効果音は全てﾗｽﾄの超有名なﾀｯﾌﾟﾀﾞﾝｽに結び付ける伏線であり全ての要素は､そこで弾け､見る者を圧倒する｡

久石さんとの決裂で次に組んだのが鈴木慶一さん。「(久石さんとより)もっとダメだった」とインタビューで応えている北野監督ですが、実にその通りにB級な音。楽器が出来る＝音楽が出来る。にはならないのだ
