ドラマーのテリー・チェンバーズが脱退するも、アコースティカルな質感や内省的なムードに覆われていた前作『Mummer』から一転、エッジが利いたエキセントリックなパワーポップで原点回帰ともいえるサウンドを打ち出した本作。

左右にパンニングされた切れ味鋭いギターもユニークな「Seagulls Screaming Kiss Her, Kiss Her」をはじめ、レコーディングやイコライジング、ミックスにも工夫を凝らしながら作り上げられた折り目正しきギターポップの快作だ。
