20118年に発表されたクラプトン初のクリスマスアルバムです。 正直なところ、2006年のＪＪケイルとの共作「ザ・ロード・トゥ・エスコンディード」 以降のスタジオ作品は、いくらなんでも枯れすぎで、ちょっと敬遠していました。 今作もほとんどブルースです。しかし、クリスマスということも あってか、さほど暗さをや枯れを感じません。ネイサン・イースト、 ジム・ケルトナー、ドイル・ブラムホール２世といったおなじみの 面々による演奏も温かみがあります。 そして、クラプトンの歌のうまさを改めて実感しました。ロック調 の曲はない分、歌声に集中することができます。１曲だけ、ミドル テンポのロック曲があるのもうれしいです。クラプトンのボーカル もうなっています。 できれば、次のスタジオ作品もこれくらいの雰囲気で作ってほしいと 思います。
