今までのコントラバスのソロＣＤといえばチェロに張り合うかのような高音域か超絶技巧曲が多かった。でもそれは残念ながら一部の理解者を除き「よく頑張りました」という領域から完全に抜け出すことはなかった。私自身この楽器を演奏するが、この楽器の魅力は当にこのＣＤに刻み込まれたような曲を朗々と歌い、大地の鼓動となり目一杯響き渡るところにあると思う。孤独な心をその巨きな優しい音で黙って抱きしめ包み込み癒してくれる、そんな力があると思う。新作の楽器と弓でごく自然に多彩に表現してしまう池松さんは素晴らしい！！
