「the　greatest　hits　加山雄三」に入っている殆んどの曲は中学生時代に友達から借りたレコードで聴いたり、シングルレコードを購入して聴いたものです。独特の加山サウンドは心を落ち着かせるとともに気持ちを弾ませる効果があり絶妙のハーモニーが大層心地よいです。加山雄三さんの表情や性格が相まって気持ちよい雰囲気を味あわさせてくれるのだと信じています。

弾厚作のつくるメロディは、日本の歌謡曲よりもむしろアメリカのオールディーズ・ポップスに近いと思う。そのへんが、日本のポップスを進化させたと言われるゆえんか。のほほんとした雰囲気に包まれているけれど、たぶんこのヒトは天才だ。
