美しく、甘いフィリー・サウンドが堪能出来る、名盤デビュー・アルバム。やはり最大の魅力は優しく、繊細なファルセット・リード・ボーカルであると思う。そこに分厚いコーラスが重なり、キラキラとしたイメージを聴き手に与えてくれる作品。スタイリスティックスよりも個人的には好きなグループ。

スウィート・ソウル、そして、フィラデルフィア・ソウルの最高峰、宝石、金字塔、など、いくら褒め言葉を並べても言いたりないくらいの、素晴らしいアルバムです。　何て言ったって、アルバムの中に、捨て曲が１曲も無いのが素晴らしい！　全てが甘くて、切なくて、やるせないんです。デビューアルバム（１st）にして、間違いなく最高傑作！！
