２トーンスカ/ネオスカムーヴメントをけん引したスペシャルズを脱退したテリー・ホール、ネヴィル・ステイプルズ、リンヴァル・ゴールディングによって1981年に結成されたニューウェイヴバンド、ファン・ボーイ・スリー (Fun Boy Three)。７枚の全英トップ20ヒットシングル (うち２枚はバナナラマとの共作) を放ち、デヴィッド・バーンのプロデュースによる２枚のアルバム『The Fun Boy Three』(1982年)、『Waiting』(1983年) を残し、1983年に解散した彼らの音源を最新リマスターでまとめた CD５枚組＋DVDボックスセット『Complete Fun Boy Three』。

２枚のアルバムに、シングル／Ｂ面曲、リミックス、ライヴ、未発表アウトテイクなどを追加した全69曲をCD５枚に収録。DVDには、プロモビデオ、英BBC名物音楽番組「トップ・オブ・ザ・ポップス」のパフォーマンス映像、1983年のライヴ映像など28トラックを収録。

ボックスには、SDE (SuperDeluxeEdition) の寄稿者ジョン・アールズによる書き下ろしのスリーヴノーツとバンドによるライナーノーツや写真で構成された DVDサイズのケース入りブックも付属されている。
