SPIRAL CIRCLEでジャズというかピアノトリオファンの大注目を浴びたHelge Lien。その後も優れた作品を発表し続けてきました。本作は、多くの方が認めるように、このピアニストのこれまでの頂点を極めた傑作だと思います。箱庭にそっと置かれた二つの人形を思わせるモノクロのジャケットが郷愁を誘います。身体的な技巧を超え、観念で音を発しているのでは、とまで深読み(深聴き)したくなる作品です。
