いわゆるHR史に残る名盤と言われる作品であるが、HRというよりむしろ、英国ロックの代表的アルバムであると思う。トラディショナルフォークの影響受けた哀愁漂う楽曲郡を輝かせているのは、やはりテッド＆アンディのギタープレイ！これがなくては成り立たないくらい素晴らしいものだ。特に②の後半ギターソロの応酬は鳥肌が止まらない！未だにマイベストプレイの堂々１位である。

発売当時は「暗い」とか「歌が下手」とか散々言われましたが、やはりギターの旨さは他のバンドに負けないと思います。ギターが本当に好きな人に嫌いな人はいないでしょう。このアルバムは言わずもがな名盤です。
