アトランティックでのミンガスのすべてが味わえる素晴らしい、言うことなしのボックス。ベーシストとしてばかりでなくコンポーザー、ピアニストとしても活躍したミュージシャンの軌跡が手にとるようにわかるのも嬉しい。テディ・チャールス名義の演奏もプラスされて、ミンガスの音楽がもたらすあらゆる感動を体験できることもこのボックスのよさであると思う。

ミンガスこそ最高のベーシストだと思っています。評論家諸氏は音楽以外の部分で評価を下げるようですが、コンポーザーとしても素晴らしい。彼のエネルギィッシュな演奏は他の追随を許さない。
