A＆Mドン・セベスキーとの3部作最終盤。どれから聴いても、結局3つすべてを聴くことになる。クロスオーバー、フュージョンにつながる始祖的な作品で、 50年前の録音ながら、現代でも存在感を失わない。偉大なギタリストの若すぎる死を思えば、最終曲の「花はどこへいった」が泣ける。

クリード・テイラーもの3枚の中で、一番ポピュラーな曲が多く聴きやすい。I’ll Be Backは昔からビートルズの原曲よりこっちのほうがいいぞと思っていた。ビートルズの曲でそういうの珍しいのだけれど。
