ジョビンと同様に、この何とも言えない下手上手のヴォーカル、気だるい雰囲気は最高です。 車で聞いていると、眠たくなるのでお薦めできません。(笑)ジルベルトのアルバムには、古い話で恐縮ですがタモリ倶楽部の空耳アワーで幾つか取り上げられた作品があり、確か9曲目が、｢窓からジャー落ちて」のフレーズが入っている曲だったと思います。

７０年以降の最高傑作。発売元によって音質が微妙に異なる気がするが、良好なものに当たると本当に彼の精神安定剤的な中に秘められた野蛮な精神が魂を鷲掴みに来る迫力を覚える。

Caetanoのアルバム中の曲で「Nanaがこれを歌い、Elbaがこれを歌い、Gilbertoはこれ、Djavanはこれ、Bethaniaがこれを歌い･･･」と紹介するような曲があって、その最後に、「これに優るものと言ったら静寂しかない、そして静寂よりもすばらしいのはJoao」と締めくくっている、まさにその通り。Caetanoの形容に脱帽です！
